THE DETROIT NEWS
MATTHEW RYAN for MAYOR RESPONSE
Why are you running for Mayor?
I am running for Mayor because the City of Sterling Heights is at a Turning Point and needs a mayor who really cares and listens to the residents. With no hidden agenda, I want to serve the residents of Sterling Heights with Integrity and Honor.
As Mayor, we can all look forward to a well-maintained city with very adequate Police and Fire. We will show a commitment to the Veterans in our city, as we uphold their service to our country, which I will be contributing a portion of my mayor salary to ensure. I come from a hard-working dedicated family with a long history of public service and a strong commitment to community.
The current Mayor came here at 26 years old and had no community background in Sterling Heights. I am the only Mayor candidate who grew up here in Sterling Heights and I have lived in Sterling Heights my whole life. This is my home, and I really care about our city and the future for every resident who lives here in our city. As Mayor, I want to restore Sterling Heights to a Great American Suburban Family City again that is Safe for residents and businesses.
